Hi,

Great Website. I've been trying to buy "Happy Christmas to you from me" for several Christmas's now with no luck. At a pinch I could probably find a 45 single out there somewhere or get it on Barry Blue's greatest hits. The song is an excellent Christmas track which was unfortunately overlooked in 1976. Might be worth considering putting on your "Rare Tracks" listing or even re-releasing.

Happy Christmas anyway......maybe next year!

LdP Music Store Reply:
Dear Denis, Sorry for the delay in replying to you!!! I shall try to find this recording in a digital format. Perhaps Barry Blue has a copy! I shall ask him...Anyway, a Happy New Year to you from me (although a little late!). Best wishes Lynsey x

Hi Lynsey, following on from John Constable, I read somewhere that you once recorded a son "Give Your Love for Christmas" and wondered if you are able to make this available?

Merry Christmas

Brian

LdP Music Store Reply:
HI Brian, No, I did not record "Give Your Love For Xmas" although it is a great song of Roy Wood's. Happy new Year... Best wishes, Lynsey x

"Happy Christmas To You From Me" would be very appropriate! Hope you enjoy the festivities. Love John X

Dear John, Happy New Year!! I am sorry for the 'radio silence', but I have had a lot on and will be updating my blog today! You can see me on Sunday Feb 19 at 5pm on Vintage TV SKY 369 and Freesat 515. I hope you are well. I shall look out "Happy Xmas To You From Me"... Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hey Lynsey,
Will there be a nice Christmas present for us to download soon?

Dear John, Thanks for giving me the idea. Let me think on that! What suggestions do you have? I hope all is well with you...Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hi Lynsey,
Still listening to all thsoe great tracks and even enjoying some cover versions. Love what Smoove and Turrell did with "Water". I've been playing the track "Love Bomb" for for over 35 years now and still love it. It really should have been a huge hit - such a waste! What are you going to make available next? There are still loads to go!
Loads of love, John

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hi John, I hope you are well. Smoove and Turrrell were very nice guys and I met the producer at a music 'do' last year. I expect you knew that Cheryl Lynn, the American singer, recorded the song "Love Bomb", which is on YouTube! I shall see what else I can load onto the music store. Thank you for your lovely comments about my music. Best wishes, Lynsey x

Dear Lynsey,

How are you doing?

It's always so nice to look around at your page.

What a pity I'm not able to receive SKY TV. Is the show also available on DVD? I would love to see it!!!

It was a great pleasure meeting you once in the Netherlands! Still having good memories of it. You're we're looking like a princess and that shows on the amazing photo's I took then!

In the meantime I continued listen to your music.

I transfered some of my own vinyl tracks to the MP3 format. All songs that have not been released on CD.

On the top of my search list is still the original version from "Won't Somebody Dance With Me" like it is released on LP and single. Hope the master is still existing from it. I understood that Chrysalis does own the rights of the older material?
On all CD's is a strange version from "Won't somebody dance with me"... I always thought is not yours, Am I right?
Cause the beautiful vocals on the original vinyl LP and single are totally different as on the (Greatest Hits) CD. (And I don't mean the remake version). Even the voice asking "May I have the pleasure of this dance" is not from the ex London-Deejay Ed Stewart. Can you tell me who's version it is that is on mostly all cd's?

On the in (1999) Japanese released CD "Love Bomb" they replaced "Rhythm & Blue Jean Baby" for "Crystal Ball". It seems that the "Love Bomb" cd is reissued in 2009, and now including "Crystal Ball", but I read on a site that the sound from this song is like from vinyl.

Maybe you have a better copy? Or does this song also belong to the Crysalis ?

There are still lots of beautiful songs that I would love to hear from the original masters.

For example "Into My Music" and many others...

Maybe someday, my wishes may come true!

With Compliments and greetings from the Netherlands,

Age Rozema

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hello Age, How are you? It is very nice to hear from you, again. I am so glad you like my music store. I get your Xmas card each year, which is very thoughtful and kind of you. Only Chrysalis can sell my first album "Surprise" - I have the rights to all the others. If you find albums with other online companies, they are not legal albums. Please do let me know if you find any, because we can deal with those sites!! I shall see what I can do with "Into My Music". As for the re-recording of "Won't Somebody Dance With Me" , I wrote a new 'middle 8' for it and a man called Ian Lynn who made the record with me is the voice at the end. Thanks so much for writing. Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hello Lynsey,
I stumbled over this site looking for the single
Alone with you. This is great you now have communication with your fans. I had a love bomb cassette in the seventies which eventually snapped. I also had it on 8 track and LP. An album you never tire of listening to. Luckily down loaded a copy from amazon or Itunes I think a year ago. My favourite Female artists have always been You, Stevie Nicks and Karen Carpenter.

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hi Allan, Thank you for your very kind words! I am really pleased you found "Alone With You". It was a song that seemed to come naturally. Actually, it would be good if you only bought from my site and not Amazon etc as they actually do not own the rights to sell my product - hence my setting up my own music store, which I am really pleased you have found. I hope you enjoy it and do let me know if there are other tracks missing you would like to have. At least they can't snap like your vynil... Best wishes, Lynsey x

Saw you on "Come dine with me" today and your songs came flooding back into my head along with all the memories that go with them from back in the 70's. Decided to see if you had a site and have downloaded "Taste me don't Waste me" - Wow - my vinyl copy is in the loft but dont have the gear to play it on. You will be singing in my 1950 Austin Atlanic tomorrow morning on my drive to work - not sure if I will be able to get out of the car when I get there!

LdP Music Store Reply:
Dear Linda, Please drive safely!! I hope you like hearing this album of mine again in your 1950 Austin. It is a personal favourite and is a really romantic set of songs. As for "Come Dine" - it was not a lot of fun to actually do the programme and I was determined to be nice about everyone although the TV production team were dying to make me say something nasty! Best wishes, Lynsey x

Dear Lynsey. Is there any chance of 'The arrival of the queen ...' (as featured on the 'Ladybirds' TV programme), ever being available to buy? I know that it's originally a classical piece; however, your version was totally magic!! Thanks for all the great songs you've given us.

LdP Music Store Reply:
Dear Bill, I do have a version of this and will make it available in the next few weeks... as soon as I can! I happen to love playing Bach and Handel (have been practising recently) and am so pleased you liked my version of Arrival of the Queen! Best wishes Lynsey x

It's great to have such an easy to use, interactive site. I was obsessed with 'Sugar Me' when it came out (still am!) and decided to take piano lessons myself. Unfortunately my teacher was really scary for a 10 year old boy and in her front room where she taught, she had covered everything with plastic (sofa, carpet, chairs, lampshade) so we wouldnt make a mess! I didn't last past Grade 3 though she did allow me to learn 'No-Honestly!' Really pleased to have 'Sugar Shuffle' on download now. I know the re-recording of WSDWM? is good but I would love to have the original someday with Stewpot as it has laods of great memories from childhood too. Really think you are totally under rated for your Brit Girl Power achievements in the 70's - keep[ going girl! xx

LdP Music Store Reply:
Dear Drew, Thanks for your v kind words! I had a piano teacher who used to drink tea in my lessons so all her words of wisdom wafted over to me, an 11 year old school girl at the time who was gasping for something to drink herself - with the smell of strong tannin! I am so glad you have found some of my music you like and have not been able to get for a while. Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hi - I'm interested in Lynsey's music career but I'm dissappointed that the early singles are only available as 're-recordings'. Where are the originals? Have tey ever been released on CD or digitally? Many thanks!

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hello Anthony, I don't own the rights to some of my original recordings - Chrysalis Music does. Therefore, I do not showcase them on my site. I actually prefer my re-recordings. For instance, I have written an extra 'middle eight' section in "Won't Somebody Dance With Me". I hope you find something you like on my musicstore! Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hi Lynsey, I am so pleased that I can access your lovely music so easily now. I have always loved your music, along with Kate Bush, you are both my favourite female artists. Thanks Lynsey.

With love and best wishes
Athena

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hi Athena, I am very pleased you are pleased! Thank you very much for your really nice compliment! It was quite frustrating for me, too, not to be able to get my music to people as the companies that owned the rights before me did not release albums or put them online. Thankfully, this is now not the case. I hope you enjoy the music. Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hi Lynsey,

Just a short follow up email to say how thrilled I was that you responded to my post . Was very interested to hear the story about the recording of ‘My Man & Me’ for ‘Tigers & Fireflies’ . You still sound amazing on this track despite being under the weather at the time.

As I said , I’ve been a big fan for a long time and still play all your albums – I just wish you had recorded a few more. I’ve also noticed there are some great footage on You tube including a rather kitsch clip of ‘All Night’ (one of my favourites) from French TV with those dancers. You seem blissfully unaware of their gyrating throughout !

I do have one big favour to ask. Would it be possible to send me an autographed photo? This would mean a lot and I’m more than happy to send one for signing to your management address ( if you can confirm) along with a SAE. I did purchase an autographed photo a few years back on ebay but a personalised one would be that much more special.

In addition to the digital downloads, I still keep my fingers crossed that now you own most of your back catalogue you may be able to release an Anthology that would be available in the shops. It would be great to see an official release with your blessing on the racks of my local HMV.

Thank you again for providing so much listening pleasure over the past 30 plus years and all the very best for the year ahead.

Best.

Douglas x

LdP Music Store Reply:
Dear Douglas, If you send an email with your postal address to info@ldpmusicstore.com, I shall send you a signed photo. There are no plans to release an album other than digitally yet, but I do have other tracks I am going to upload, as I said, that you may not have heard. Thank you for the kind things you wrote. Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hi Lynsey,

I have been a big fan since the early '70s, so it's great to be able to get some of those hard to find tracks such as 'Central Park Arrest' that have not been available until now.

Although 'Taste Me...' has long been a favourite, I've downloaded 'Tigers And Fireflies' which comes a close second. I love both versions of 'My Man And Me' but wondered if you have a preference?.

Tracks I would really like to buy include: 'You Give Me Those Feelings' , 'You Shouldn't Say That' (with Mike Moran.) plus 'Stick To You' (with Barry Blue).

The ultimate of course would be some new recordings - perhaps unplugged (just you and your piano) arrangements of your hits ?

All the best for now.

p.s. think the ballads compilation is great!

LdP Music Store Reply:
Dear Douglas, I am so pleased you found songs you like in my music store and that you like “My Favourite Ballads” album. I wanted to have a gentle album without anything up-tempo on it, to create a relaxed mood. I actually like both versions of ‘My Man and Me’. The second version on the ‘Tigers and Fireflies’ album was recorded in New York and Massachusetts. I had really bad hay fever at the time – even the horses in Massachusetts were sneezing - so it was a miracle I could sing at all! I shall try to find a version of “You Give Me Those Feelings” and upload it together with anything else that might be rare. A couple of people have asked for that track as well, so I shall get to it! Thank you for liking my music for so long - it is extremely nice to know! Best wishes, Lynsey x

Hi Lynsey,

I have been buying your records since I was 13 back in '73 (I've still got my scrap book),but non on cd, I visited your site before you added tracks and now pleased I came back,,,,I'm looking for "The blind leading the blind" B side of All Night, any chance of loading it up on here as I cant find it anywhere, Also Crossword Puzzle

Have a fantastic Christmas and may 2011 be the year you return on stage

Bazz xxx

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hi Bazz, Thank you so much for buying my records since 1973!! I wanted Blind Leading The Blind to be my first 'a' side, but the record compnay did not want that. I brought in my classical training by writing a 'tribute' to Bach in the instrumental (not as good as the Maestro). Unfortunately, I do not own the rights to that recording or to Crossword Puzzle...so I am not permitted to pu it up for download - but I shall see what I can do for you. Happy Xmas and New Year. Best wishes, Lynsey x

As a technophobic, this site was a pleasure and dare I say it, idiot proof.

I particularly wanted the LdP version of 'Storm in a Teacup' and helped myself to other stellar songs during this visit.

Great choons to go with some great memories.

Thank you...

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hi Sil, I am v pleased you were able to use the site easily. I had to make it 'idiot proof' as you put it - as I hate sites that give you a challenge when all you want is a simple search! I hope you enjoyed the tracks. Happy Xmas and New Year to you and to everyone reading this! Best wishes, Lynsey x

Dear Lynsey - I was thrilled to find that your music was available for download from your site. I know I have a vinyl copy of 'Taste Me Don't Waste Me' secreted away with other albums - but no CD or electronic copy. I've thoroughly enjoyed re-acquainting myself with the beautiful melodies. I'll be back to download some other great tracks! Best Wishes Chris Gough x

LdP Music Store Reply:
Hi Christopher, I am really happy you found "Tase Me Don't Waste Me" in digital form. I love writing those romantic songs - and thank you for saying they were beautiful melodies! I think the album was not available to buy for quite a while. I only got the rights back a little while ago and that is why it has taken some time before these tracks were available again! Best wishes, Lynsey x

Thanx! The shop worked perfectly. Finally I can enjoy one of my old favorite tunes. For years I have tried to find some Greatest Hits or compilation CD including it. All in vain. In this way I was spared the trouble of finding and copying it from some old casette tape.

"Happy Christmas From You To Me"
